Can you feel it? Can you feel the love? We’re feeling it around here! We’re feeling it because thanks to all of you — our readers, clients, fellow artists, small businesses, and those who value handmade goods as much as we do — thanks to your willingness to help us take action, we successfully secured a spot in the Top 10 Ideas for Change in America at Change.org!
What this means is we’re one step closer to saving handmade from the CPSIA! Is the fight over? No. We still have hurdles, but we have made a huge leap forward thanks to YOU!
Sounds like a perfect time to celebrate with a giveaway from The Baby Gardner! What the heck. We’re so pumped around here, let’s make it TWO GIVEAWAYS!

Giveaway #2: Cheerful Cherries Cloche Hat – Turquoise wool-blend felt with red gingham appliqued cherries. Lightweight and perfect for any season. Size: 3-9 months.

There is nothing that says “I love you” more than something hand made from the heart. The cloche hat captures my new exquisite Sweetling well.

I love handmade. Someone pours their creativity into something and then puts it out there for the world-will you love me? It’s like the things have personalities, so much thought and effort have gone into them. Besides, handmade’s always cuter!

Why? So many reasons! Unique, crafted by an individual with a passion for what he/she makes, and personalizable!

I have spent hours today pouring over The Baby Gardner’s shop and other vintage outlets. My spirits have been lifted from the joy of admiring the talents, skills and love that go into handmade items. I will never look at cheap, mass-produced goods the same way again!

Oops! I forgot to mention that I’d be delighted with the puppy gift tags. Of course, then I’d have to get vintage papers for wrapping… vintage gifts to go in the wrappings… This can get addictive, can’t it??

i love handmade because it is always more special and one of a kind than anything storebought, plus you can choose to use vintage or recycled materials and you know exactly where everything came from.
i would love to win the gift tags – don’t have a baby yet!
